At ICA, we offer our commercial partners solutions that meet their needs, through the marketing of mercaptans, which are obtained by means of organic synthesis, applying the highest standards of quality and respecting at all times the current environmental standards and legal.
Our production team allows us to carry out the synthesis of different products from kilograms to tons.
Currently, our market is focused on two products, which are mainly:
DMDO
(No. CAS 14970-87-7)
1,8-Dimercapto-3, -6-dioxaoctant, is a dimercaptan used for the manufacture of adhesives and also as a material for the synthesis of sulfur-containing polymers. Its final use falls in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics and construction.
DMDS
(No. CAS 3570-55-6)
Bis (2-mercaptoethyl) sulfide, is also a dimercaptan used in the manufacture of products as diverse as lubricants or lenses, also as raw material for the synthesis of polymers.
What are mercaptans?
• They are compounds that contain one or more functional groups formed by a sulfur atom and a hydrogen atom also called thiols or mercaptans, which exist in gaseous, liquid or solid form.
At ICA we obtain them from import raw materials of the highest quality and by means of organic synthesis, the mercaptans have application as curing agents for the epoxy resins, using as catalyst an amine.
